Łukasz Drewniak

Prof. Łukasz Drewniak is a professor at the University of Warsaw and an expert in environmental microbiology, biotechnology, and the commercialization of microbial technologies. His work focuses on translating fundamental research in microbial ecology, bioremediation, biofertilization, and industrial biotechnology into practical solutions for agriculture, environmental protection, and sustainable industry.
He has extensive experience in leading interdisciplinary research and innovation projects carried out in close cooperation with academic, industrial, and public partners. His scientific and implementation activities include the development of microbial consortia, bioproducts, and environmental technologies with clear application potential.
In parallel with his academic work, Prof. Drewniak is an active entrepreneur and technology implementer. He is the founder of three biotechnology start-ups: RDLS, Demetrius Lab, and BHUMI, focused on the development and commercialization of environmental and agricultural biotechnologies.
