Jakub Pawlikowski

Jakub Pawlikowski, graduated in medicine (M. D., Ph.D.), law (J.D.) and philosophy (M.A.), professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Medicine at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. In the past a Head of Department of Social Medicine at Medical University of Lublin, a Dean of Medical Faculty at Cardinal Wyszynski University at Warsaw. A member of international expert bodies such as: ELSI (ethical, legal, societal issues) expert groups in BBMRI.ERIC (Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure - European Research Infrastructure Consortium) and EUREC (Network of European Research Ethics Committee). A member of Polish Supreme Bioethics Committee, Scientific Council of Bioethics Center at Polish Supreme Physician Chamber, a former member of Transparency Council in Polish Agency for Health Technology Assessment (2013-2023) and a founding member of the Polish Bioethics Society. His research interests are focused on medical ethics, medical law, ethics of medical research and spirituality in healthcare.
