Dorota Gierej-Czerkies is a scientist and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience bridging life sciences and business. Holding a PhD in neurobiology from the Nencki Institute PAS and an engineering background in industrial biotechnology, she has built her career translating scientific discoveries into real-world impact - from clinical trials at AstraZeneca, intellectual property management, leading  Nencki Technology Transfer Office to supporting teams in SPARK Poland mentoring programme, a Stanford-originated initiative accelerating the translation of biomedical research into clinical practice.

Currently Dorota channels her expertise into her most personal mission: as co-founder and CEO of PeptAid - a company developing a peptide-based immunotherapy for glioblastoma, the most aggressive and currently incurable brain tumour, with the goal of giving patients a real chance at life.
