Dr Damian Kułaga is an Assistant Professor at Cracow University of Technology, where he works in the field of medicinal chemistry and the design of new compounds with therapeutic potential. His research focuses mainly on the discovery of small-molecule modulators of targets relevant to cancer therapy, including serotonin receptors, FOXM1 and the lipid kinases. He combines organic synthesis, biological evaluation, molecular modelling and the assessment of anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. He is the author of scientific publications and patent applications, and has served as principal investigator in research projects funded by national and European programmes. In his work, he develops an interdisciplinary approach to the discovery of new anticancer drug candidates.
