Arturs Abols

Arturs is one of the co-founders and the CSO at Cellbox Labs, where he leads the biology team and drives the biological design, validation, and testing of organ on chip products. His role sits at the interface of product development and life science research, ensuring that complex biology is translated into robust, industry-ready systems. He holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and brings over 15 years of experience in cell biology, cancer research, and advanced in vitro models across both academic and applied settings. Outside the lab, he moves between hyperbaric (scuba diving) and hypobaric (climbing) environments, occasionally stress testing biological hypotheses from dynamic in vitro experiments against real-world physiology.
