
Gabriela Konopka-Cupiał

Gabriela Konopka-Cupiał, PhD graduated from the Wrocław University of Technology in the field of mechanics and machine construction. Her PhD thesis in cryogenics was carried out in cooperation with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva. Currently, she is the Director of the CITTRU Technology Transfer Centre, a unit of Jagiellonian University responsible for cooperation with businesses, including knowledge and technology transfer, contract research and the legal protection of the scientific activity results. She is co-responsible for developing the university's policy in this area, being involved in various university projects and initiatives regarding technology transfer and cooperation with the socio-economic environment. She is in charge of the Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship. She is co-founder of the Polish Association of the Centres for Technology Transfer (PACTT), currently grouping over 90 universities and other scientific units. Winner of the Polish ministerial Innovation Brokers program. Since 2009 a member of ASTP – the European Association of Knowledge Transfer Professionals. She is an expert and consultant providing advice and coaching in the field of technology transfer and academic entrepreneurship, in particular IP management in research projects, including the sharing of intellectual property created within consortium projects.
