Anna Czarna specializes in molecular biology and biomedicine. She leads the KIND research group focusing on elucidating the intricate mechanisms of biological regulation, particularly in the context of health and disease. Her work emphasizes translational research, bridging fundamental discoveries with clinical applications.

Dr. Czarna's academic journey is marked by diverse international experience. She completed her PhD at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPI) in Martinsried, Germany, where she explored cutting-edge topics in molecular systems. Following her doctorate, she undertook postdoctoral research roles in world-renowned institutions, including: Harvard Medical School (HMS), Brigham and Women's Hospital, USA, contributing to groundbreaking biomedical advancements. She later joined Cardiocentro Ticino in Lugano, Switzerland where she explored the pulmonary and cardiovascular remodeling. Following, she conducted her research in Tromsø, Norway, where she worked on projects related to kinases and signaling pathways. Finaly, before coming to Poland she worked at South China University of Technology (SCUT), China, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to molecular and cellular biology.

With Anna’s leadership, the KIND RESEARCH group has gained recognition for its collaborative spirit, fostering innovation through diverse scientific partnerships and training the next generation of researchers in both academia and industry.
